Yesterday, I went to the awards ceremony for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, southern Nevada region. I won first place (the "gold key") for the 9th grade drawing category. The ceremony was at the Springs Preserve. I had bought a really pretty new dress and was freezing to death in the shady outdoors of a January day. In the end, though, it was fun getting to see all the artwork and all the people. There were a lot of people from LVA there- all the winners, the art teachers, students just supporting their friends- and even our school principal, Andre Long! I was really suprised that he was there, but I was really happy.
Friday night, I went to the mall. I bought my dress, some jewelry, and a pair of shoes... And my mom got me my Valentine's day present from the Disney store. It's an absolutely adorable, soft little White Rabbit doll. It's so cute.Looking all around the Disney store, a really random thought popped into my head... You know what would be a fun job for me? Playing Snow White at Disneyland. She has short hair, after all... And I just think it would be really fun, wouldn't it? Just a thought.
Oh, one last thing- I used my unspent birthday money to get that Professor Layton doll... It is officially amazing.
