The blog An Island Life chronicles a mother's life in Hawaii. On it, she started a blog phenomenon called "Aloha Friday." She writes:
"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response."
I'll join in the fun, along with the 100+ people posting their questions. Well, I love music... Who doesn't? I have listened to the same radio station every morning on my way to school since the 1st grade (I'm going into 10th grade this year). I also adore classical music. So, my question today is simple:
If you had to choose any past era to go back and live in, what era/time period yould you choose?
Well, that's my Aloha Friday question! Feel free to write as long or as short of a response as you want in the comments of this post, and be sure to click the picture above to read An Island Life's latest installment of Aloha Friday!

I think I would have loved to live in the 50s or 60s. I love the idea of being a homemaker BUT I also like the idea of women becoming more independent etc!
Good Question.. I love the Victorian times.. however.. lol I don't like the hygiene issues they had then..but the dresses..and the way of life.. was beautiful.
Wow...there are lots of time periods I'd love to visit, but not many I'd love to live in.
If I HAD too...
Well, I was going to say the time period of Jesus, because there are some questions I'd really like to ask him. But then, I don't speak Aramaic...plus the persecution, lack of plumming, etc.
Maybe the 1900s. I could be involved in changing history a little (maybe...), would get to live through the 20's and know about the great depression before it happened and prepare for it...and some time during my lifetime there would be plumming (though not air conditioning).
I'm not sure I'd like to live in any other era but if I had to pick one I guess it would be the 50's. Things seemed simplier back then.
I would probably go back to the 50's or 60's. Things were simple, the music fun and lots of interesting things going on.
Oh I don't know, I liked the 50's but times were hard and jobs were not abundant. Then I loved the 70's, what a great time. However we were in a war that wasn't popular and Drugs were abundant. The 80's... I spent them overseas in Europe, loved that time, then again we had terrorist and had to be aware of our surroundings. Russia was still a communist state and America although money was abundant still lived in Watch for an attack. I think I will be fine in this Era, I love all the Technology and the way my life is now.Going back always sounds great but if you make changes your life will be changed.
My AF link for you
The 70's when my life was so simple...
Have a great Friday!

It's hard for a black woman to want to go back to any era.
Visit just to see the life maybe, but not live.
I'm honestly not sure which though. Maybe I'd like to see how things were in the time of Christ.
I would have to say the 50's!
