Working Hard or Hardly Working

At the moment, I am focusing on the latter, and I am enjoying it.

Today was a fun (yet exhausting) day... I went to Old Navy and bought some nice new clothes (including a pair of pajama pants with a pattern of little to-go coffee cups!), and then to Borders for books and a birthday present for my friend Lanae. After Borders, I went straight to Lanae's party and had a grand old time... We played Duck, Duck, Goose and Red Rover out in the street for a while. We also just sat around talking, and I met two nice girls who just graduated this year who are into art, and we're now friends on deviantART.

However, now it's time to really crack down and get to work. I have it all planned out now... Tomorrow (or, since it's past midnight, I suppose it's today) I'll be going out to Aliante Station for fireworks, dinner, and a movie with my parents and my brother. I will also work on the portrait I am doing (mostly the sections of my grandfather's sut and my grandmother's blouse and necklace). On the 5th, I will spend the day painting, focusing on the section of my grandmother's face and head... The 6th will be the same, only I will be painting my grandfather's face and head, at which point the entire portrait will be completed with sufficient time to dry (about 36 hours, I'd say; oil paint dries very slowly).

Now, if by some miracle I do finish the portrait by then, I will invite my friend Natalie to come over to my house on the 7th to hang out and do me a favor by starring in a book trailer I am filming and editting for a contest... We just might even bake a cake, and probably make it look like Pac-Man.

Now, let's just hope that my master plan goes along smoothly, rather than accidentally swerving and running off a cliff...

In other hopes, I have been looking lately for a new game to play for the PS3... The problem is, it seems about 75% of the games out for the PS3 are fighting games (which I'm not very good at) or shooting games (which I also suck at, but I don't really like them anyway). Right now, all I have for the PS3 are Batman: Arkham Asylum, Eternal Sonata, LittleBigPlanet, and Trivial Pursuit (which is only fun with two or more people).

The Toy Story 3 game has gotten good reviews, but I doubt that mmy parents would buy it for me... I never really ask for them to buy me video games, though. Mainly books, clothes, and art supplies (lots and lots of art supplies). I have a couple things to look forward to, though: the release of LittleBigPlanet 2 in November 2010, and the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 in 2011.

(By the way, in case you were not aware: the reason I am focusing on the PS3 system is not because I don't have any other systems, but because for my 15th birthday I got a PS3 for my room... My family is usually using the TV in the living room with all the other systems.)

Well, I should probably be getting to bed soon. Good night, and

Happy Independence Day!

Photo 1: Lanae's birthday party was awesome! (Her actual birthday is the 4th of July, though.) Photo 2: Happy Independence Day, everybody. Photo 3: Pac-Man certainly does look like a cake, doesn't he? Photo 4: The PS3 Slim; the same kind I have in my room. Photo 5: Toy Story 3: The Video Game.
